If beautiful flowers throughout the warmer months are important to you, make sure you put bulbs into the ground. Bulbs will grow every year and are easier to take care of than seeds. Be vigilant about keeping moisture off your plants. Moisture not only attracts parasites, but also makes it easier for your plants to contract diseases. A common parasite found in the plant kingdom is fungi. Sprays and liquids exist that are perfect for killing the fungi, but be sure you use it on the area before the fungi actually appear.

Chicken Tractor

If you want to fertilize an area for a future garden, make use of a chicken tractor. Chicken tractors are chicken coops that can be moved from one place to another. They feature open floors and an area in which the chickens can be protected from the elements. This lets the chickens graze on the vegetation any pests while depositing the fertilizer. Once one area is done, the chicken tractor can be pulled to over the next area.

Stink Bugs

If clay pots become encrusted with salt, it can be easily removed with a mixture of alcohol and vinegar. When you have plants inside of a clay pot, there can be salt deposits that will build up over time. Mix equal amounts of water, white vinegar and rubbing alcohol to spray on the container. Scrub the pot with a brush to remove the salt residue. Then you want to rinse the pot and set it out to dry. It should be dry before you use it for another plant.

Clay Soil

If you work with clay soil, you have probably found using a shovel very frustrating and exhausting. To make digging clay soil easier, try applying a light coating of wax, either car wax or floor wax, and then buff off and commence digging. This causes the clay to slide rather than stick, and prevents rust as a side effect.
