The bulbs are ripe for harvesting when the tops area turns brown. To harden the bulbs’ skin, dry them for several days in the sun. Store the garlic in an area that’s cool, either tied up in bunches or loose.

You can use something like a laundry basket to gather all of your produce together when the time comes. The laundry basket can be used as a colander for your produce. You can rinse your produce off while it is in the basket, and the excess water will strain through the holes of your laundry basket.

A mixture of aspirin and water can protect your plants from common diseases. To add the aspirin to the plant, dissolve about one tablet and a half into approximately two gallons of fresh water. Then spray your plants with this mixture to stave off diseases. Plants should be sprayed once every two to three weeks.
